“Didn't realize how bad my old shirts fit until I tried this. The proportions are just better.”

Summary:
Standard fit hides you. Slim fit squeezes you. The Apex Tee is the third cut, and the difference is about an inch of seam placement in three spots.
Most t-shirts are one pattern stretched across every body. Here is what that does, seam by seam, and what we moved to fix it.
01 / Broader-looking shoulders
Makes your shoulders look wider (without shoulder pads)
A standard tee runs its shoulder seam straight across your delts, right where you're widest, so the shoulder ends early and you look narrower than you are. The Apex Tee uses a raglan seam, running diagonally from the underarm to the collar, so nothing cuts the shoulder short. One seam, moved about an inch. No padding.
02 / Athletic chest fit
Fits your chest and arms while giving your stomach room
Most tees are one width from the armpit to the hem, so they hang off your chest like a box and never touch your actual shape. The Apex Tee's side seam narrows below the chest and then releases before the stomach. Fitted where your shape comes from, loose where it isn't. It skims. It never clings.
03 / Built for one body
Cut for shoulders and a chest (not one pattern graded S to XXL)
A standard tee is one pattern, graded up and down for every body that walks into a store. It assumes no shoulders, average arms and a straight middle. The Apex Tee starts from the opposite assumption. Three seams, each moved about an inch, across five sizes from S to XXL. The shirt fits the frame you built.
04 / Defined arms
Makes your arms look bigger and more defined (without feeling tight)
Standard sleeves are cut long and straight, so the hem lands below the bicep and flares over nothing. The Apex sleeve is cut about an inch shorter, to stop above the widest point of the arm, so the arm fills it and the hem sits on muscle. No more loose fabric where the work should show.
05 / Fitted, not tight
An athletic fit that isn't just a size down
Skin-tight shirts expose everything. Baggy shirts hide everything. Most "athletic fit" tees are the standard pattern shrunk, which is why they pull across the chest and cling at the stomach at the same time. The Apex Tee is cut for the chest and arms and released at the waist. Zero compression.

07 / built to last
Built to last 100+ washes without losing its shape
Most T-shirts lose their shape after repeated washing. Collars curl, shoulders bag, and hems flip. The Apex Tee uses a 180 GSM, 5.3 oz knit with 88% polyester and 12% spandex, giving it the structure and stretch recovery to keep its shape wash after wash.
08 / Soft stretch performance
Moves when you move (four-way stretch, zero restriction)
Apex moves with you without feeling restrictive. The four-way stretch gives you freedom to move, while the structured knit keeps the shirt looking clean instead of floppy.
09 / Wicks away sweat and dries fast
Wicks away sweat and dries fast (goodbye sweaty, clingy T-shirts)
Damp fabric is what holds odor and weight. The Apex knit pulls moisture off the skin and dries quickly, so sweat moves through the shirt instead of sitting in it. One thing defeats it: fabric softener coats the fibers and stops them wicking, so leave it out of the wash.

Finally found a shirt that fits the way I want
Iβve tried plenty of fitted T-shirts, but most are either too tight through the stomach or too loose through the arms. The Apex Tee gets the balance right. It fits my chest and arms without feeling restrictive and still gives me room through the torso.

Makes my shoulders look broader
What I like most about this shirt is how it fits across the shoulders. It gives me a much better shape without looking like Iβm wearing an overly tight gym shirt. Itβs a simple T-shirt, but the fit makes a noticeable difference.

This is how a T-shirt should fit
Iβve never really thought much about T-shirt construction before buying this one. Now I understand the difference. The sleeves sit properly on my arms, the chest fits nicely, and the torso doesnβt hang like a standard boxy tee.

Comfortable without looking sloppy
Most comfortable shirts tend to lose their shape, and shirts that look good tend to feel restrictive. This one somehow does both. I can wear it all day and still look put together.

It actually fits an athletic build
Finding shirts that fit my shoulders and arms without being huge around the waist has always been difficult. The Apex Tee is one of the few shirts where I donβt have to choose between a good fit up top and a reasonable fit through the body.

A noticeable difference from a standard T-shirt
I put this on next to one of my regular T-shirts and the difference was obvious. Same body, completely different proportions. The sleeves and shoulder area make the shirt look much more intentional.

Looks better without trying too hard
I wanted something that made me look more put together without looking like I was trying to dress younger. This shirt does exactly that. Clean, comfortable, and flattering without being flashy.

FAQs
How is this different from a regular athletic tee?
Most athletic tees are the standard pattern made smaller, so they pull across the chest and cling at the stomach. The Apex Tee is cut from a different pattern. We moved three seams, the shoulder, the sleeve hem and the side seam, about an inch each, so the shirt is fitted where your shape comes from and loose where it doesn't. No compression, no padding, no panels.
Is it tight?
No. Fitted isn't tight. The Apex Tee is close through the chest and arms and lets go below the chest, so nothing pulls at the waist. The knit is 12% spandex with four-way stretch, so it moves when you reach or row instead of riding up. The fit comes from where the seams sit, not from pressure.
Will it cling to my stomach?
No. This is the most common reason guys tell us they avoid fitted tees, and it's what the side seam was cut to fix. Slim-fit tees taper all the way to the hem. The Apex Tee tapers below the chest and then stops, so the torso skims instead of hugging. If you carry weight around the middle, this is the build it's best on.
Will it fit a leaner build?
Yes. The cut works off proportion, not size. At every size the shoulder line sits wider and the body sits narrower than a straight-cut tee, so it still gives a lean frame shape instead of hanging off it. If you're lean and between sizes, take the smaller one.
What size should I get?
Most guys stay true to size. Broader through the chest or arms, size up. Lean and between sizes, size down. Size by your chest and arms, not your waist, because the waist takes care of itself. For reference, our model is 5'11" and 178 lb and wears a Large.
Why polyester instead of cotton?
Because cotton can't hold a cut. It relaxes as you wear it and shrinks in the wash, and both pull the seams out of place. The Apex Tee is a 180 GSM stretch knit, about 5.3 oz, the weight of a standard cotton tee rather than a thin performance top: 88% polyester for structure, 12% spandex for stretch. Structure is what holds the shape the seams create.
Will it smell after a workout?
Only if it stays damp, and it doesn't. Damp fabric is what holds odor, and the Apex knit is moisture-wicking and quick-drying, so sweat moves off the skin instead of sitting in the shirt. One thing that does defeat it is fabric softener, which coats the fibers and stops them wicking, so leave it out of the wash.
Will it stretch out or shrink?
No. Cotton tees stretch out, twist, and roll at the collar after a few washes. The Apex knit holds its structure wash after wash: no shrink, no twist, no collar roll. The 12% spandex gives it recovery, so it snaps back to shape instead of bagging out. Wash cold and hang dry to keep it that way.
Can I wear it outside the gym?
Yes. The Apex Tee has no logo and no panels, and comes in four plain colors: Black, Grey, White and Midnight Navy. It looks like a T-shirt that fits, at a desk, a dinner, or a deadlift, and because it dries fast you can train in it and keep it on for the rest of the day.
